Crashes on iPad mini retina with iOS 8

Excellent application but while it still work on iPhone 5 with iOS 8, it now crashes on iPad mini with iOS 8. The crash occur whenever I try to open a local project by just touching it. FTP project seem OK. Looking forward to have it fix shortly as this app is critical for my job. Thanks.

not work ipad-pro ios 9

Sorry to rate bad this version, but many many bug in ios9.2 on ipad pro. Couldnt use it, crash every 2 minutes. No keyboard shortcut, Screen problem on button "esc" This was the only programming tools really good, hope to see it again

Fantastic app.

I really loved it, its really awesome to work on it, it has some minor issues, but Im sure they will be completely fixed in a near future. Thank you for the app!

Dont buy

Just dont buy it. Crashes all the time.

Amazing

Koder its one of the best code editors ive found (and the best for mobile devices). Its helps me A LOT and I like to thank the developer for the great, great job! :)

this is a beta

where is the promissed update?

Dont buy that program

Randomly crashes, difficult to operate, most of actions are confusing.

Dont buy!

If you want Dropbox Support: dont buy this App. You have to do several steps to download 1 file (!!!) to local store and later back to Dropbox. You cant download folders, so you have to do all steps with all files. You also cant test (HTML+JavaScript) Files in Dropbox Folder, you have to move it to local. Now I invested some cents more to textastic app and it works perfect for me.

Crashes all the time

Although this app seems to be a comfortable code editor, its outrageous that it crashes on almost every operation. I barely managed to write a simple local file. Connecting the app to Dropbox was frustrating, and when it comes to copying or moving files, the app is just unusable. Did you even try it out on iOS 7? Thats a no-go. Guys, I guess you are true developers, why would you build a coding app otherwise? So get back to testing and provide a bug fix! Its a question of honor. Give me a fix - or my money back!

App Crashes

App crashes on iOS 8.1 on iPhone 5s and iPad mini while working with local projects. Please fix it soon!

Git support

This app definately needs git (and svn,...) + services like GitHub and Bitbucket support. This is a app for developers. We dont put our code in a DropBox...

Hope it gets better

Im not the only one who hasnt been able to connect to my ftp site with this app. As a 1.0 release I would expect some issues but this is half baked. Maybe thats their business model. It looks promising but I cant do much with it until they issue an update. Put it back in the oven until 2.0.

VERY Promising!

For some reason, Ive wanted to write code on my iPad for some time. Now I can! Remote connectivity isnt working yet... I hope the developers are hearing the call, because once it does, this should be fantastic!

Awesome App!

I posted a while back with a bad review for this app because there was a bug in it that made it unusable. I am happy to redo my review since the bug has been fixed in 1.2. This is a great app and one that makes the iPad one step closer to eliminating the need for a laptop. Koder is a great tool for any developer (especially web).

Incredible!!

My dream is now reality, I can now code using My Dropbox, as well as FTP! Even making a local file is a nice way to jot down some simple code. However in the future Id enjoy support for syntax highlighting. Its a truly amazing app for the price, and fits any code. Whether youre editing your new website, or jotting down some code to share in Dropbox, this app really helps! However if an iPhone version is released I will be extremely happy! I dont know what you guys at iCodelabs have planned, but Im really pumped to see if youll make an iPhone version!

Crashing all the Time... Needs fixing... Good concept though..l

First crash.. Opened help file read through, tapped dismiss button.. App crashed.. Created Dropbox connection... Crashed Keeps crashing every couple of seconds Test first b4 u take ppls money

Buy this now!

Simple, exactly what I need and more. Thanks guys! Keep it up!

Good for beginners

Works fairly well, the finer details really need to be hammered out: - needs much better syntax highlighting - kind of buggy, app quit entering new lines and characters, but when file was saved and reloaded what was invisibly typed was there - arrow keys need to be tapped, cannot be held, annoying when trying to get to the middle or end of a line - more standard coding characters need to be available on default keyboard (semi colon for starters) - selecting blocks of code is difficult as it enters line selection mode Theres probably a few more things but this is what was noticed after 15 minutes of using this app. It tries to be too feature packed but misses the point on a lot of the basics. I really hope the devs put out some updates and bug fixes otherwise it is not worth the money.

Started off a little impressed, but now realize money is wasted, and will have to try others

Would get money back if possible. Program is fast, has a pretty good flow, lots of easy to use features, but have too many critical problems and non-critical issues to be considered usable, all noticeable on first time trying to use productively. Cant believe an app this flawed can be released for money. I thought apple regulated some of this stuff? A trial version would be a great way to find that this is junk before actually buying. I just spent more time writing a bad comment that searched for the app to begin with, and if didnt feel so ripped off, wouldnt have cared enough to write this. Not usable for at last the 3 MAJOR reasons: ****MAJOR ISSUE****** When viewing files, TEXT DOESNT WRAP, and cant find option anywhere!!!! Who would ever write a program where the text isnt able to wrap, ESPECIALLY when designed for something with a small screen? This is an app for programming, yet the programmer didnt think of this? Wouldnt this effect them as much? ****MAJOR ISSUE****** When file is open in tab, and you make changes to the file, and close it, it doesnt ask if youre sure. This is particularly inconvienient because it is easy to accidentally close the file and loose work because the "x" button is also next to the tool bar, so the first time using it,I typed code which was good, went to press the snippet button, and accidentally closed with no warning. Not a good first impression, and looses a star for that alone. ****MAJOR ISSUE****** When using tab to tab over, spaces appear from nowhere, so then delete the spaces, continue on, and then edit same text after, and letters that where there before are gone. Almost like the spaces that showed were "not real", so when yo delete them, you actually delete characters, even tho screen shows normal, (except for when the spaces show unexpectedly in the first place). *Another set of particularly annoying issues is with managing the files. It is tricky to get used to, with many problems such as: - when copying and pasting files/folders, if you select a folder, and select cut/copy, then go somewhere else and create a folder to paste whatever it was in, the action of creating the folder somehow cancels the cut/copy that was done, so cant paste. Took many tries to realize that had to do copy, then paste directly after, otherwise app forgets the request, very comber some having to go out to create the folder, go back in to copy/cut, then back out to paste. - also when copying and pasting, you can select a file or folder to copy/cut, but cant select multiple, so cant copy several folders at once without going back and forth one by one (obviously wont happen) - thirdly, if you copy and paste a file/folder with the same name, no option to overwrite (which is usually why I would copy a file over itself), or cant even make a copy with different name, just error. - cant copy and paste a file into a folder itself, you have to awkwardly go to the previous folder, go to the "manage" on that folder to then do the paste, cant paste while actually inside the folder your pasting to. - download to local, and sync to local doesnt seem to do anything (unless missing something like a final step, if so then would consider the feature not user friendly), and what is the difference between copy and paste a file to local, or copy to local? 2 types of copying necessary? *The built in preview seems strange and useless, the first file I opened was php (my most common) and viewed as text. I clicked source mode and was the same (I know a php parser was very unlikely in an app, but if can render everything, why bother, cause still have to go to real browser to preview for that alone, so seems pointless). Also firebug is built in which even seems more pointless, especially considering how small the little buttons are on it, obviously not meant for touch screen *Default code highlighting theme doesnt highlight much, was hard to tell if was working at first, and glitchy, for example the first file I had open had the word "end" in a comment. That was highlighted separate from the rest of the comment as if it were a command. Sloppy and distracting. On the plus side, the opening a file from FTP, and one touch upload back to FTP server is very nice and as simple as possible, and if all work is done by editing files from server, and not trying to download, sync, copy or paste files locally, then not bad app.
